Child Soldier Relief


The mission of Child Soldier Relief Foundation (CSR), a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization designated by the Internal Revenue Code, is to advocate on behalf of child soldiers by serving as a central repository of information on all topics relating to the topic of child soldiers.

From Former child soldier to U.S. marine and business owner

Another posting on of a success story of a former child soldier.  Tchicaya Missamou, a former child soldier from the age of 7 in the Democratic Republic of Congo, escaped from a militia with the help of his father and a forged passport. 

Three years after arriving in the United States, he joined the Marines and three years after that became a U.S. citizen.  In 2006 he opened a fitness center called Warrior Fitness Camp. 

His father remains imprisoned in DRC for helping his son to escape.
